How a broker works for you

01

Brief the trip

Route, dates, passengers, and preferences — a good broker turns that into a precise aircraft spec.

02

Source the operator

Brokers shop your trip across FAA Part 135 operators, comparing aircraft, positioning, and price.

03

Verify, then fly

The operator on the certificate flies you. Check their safety ratings and reviews here before you sign.

Ask any broker which Part 135 operator will fly your trip — then look them up on the operator register.

I have done a number of different discovery flights in the Los Angeles area and Clipper Aviation is by far the best one. The aircrafts, facilities and sim room were all well maintained. I was even able to get my first night time flying added to my logbook! I flew with Arya in a Piper Archer and he is a CFI who is kind and also knowledgeable. He really cares about who he is taking up in the air and I felt extremely comfortable flying with him. He is not just looking to take your money by pressuring you into signing up to take lessons. On the contrary, I feel like he would help me on my pilot journey even if I was not able to commit to Clipper Aviation and that is really saying a lot. The other instructors I met there were also incredibly friendly and they answered any and all of the questions I had (I had a lot.) I do not feel like they were ever rushing me or rude in any way and because of this I am doing everything I can to commit to flying and getting my PPL with them.

I did some research on various flight schools near Los Angeles and all signs kept pointing me to Clipper Aviation. Their large selection of planes (Piper, Cessna, Cirrus, Diamond, etc.) made it convenient to choose something that fit within my training needs and budget. They have an in-house maintenance facility to properly maintain and quickly resolve any issues that may arise and their entire facility is super clean and well organized. The best part though is their staff. My instructor, Michael Sahakian, is absolutely amazing. He is extremely knowledgable and answers all my questions in great detail. He makes sure I actually understand the topics he is teaching me by always using examples and visuals which help me a lot. Michael always ensures that safety is an absolute priority during my training. Thanks to Michael, I have a solid foundation in my aviation journey. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my decision to train for my private pilot's license at Clipper Aviation, especially with my CFI, Michael Sahakian.

I’ve been a student at Clipper since June and am currently finishing up my requirements for private pilot. I did a few discovery flights and tours with different schools around the LA area and was having a hard time deciding where to go until I did a tour with Clipper. I could tell almost immediately that they were a major cut above anything else I had seen. Now that I’ve been here for 6 months I can say my instructors Supreet and Chris have been awesome, the fleet is incredible and well maintained, and everyone is the community has been so nice and helpful every step of the way. I’m on a commercial path and know for sure that I’ll be staying with clipper to complete all of my ratings. I really can’t recommend them enough to any student or prospective student in LA.

Clipper Aviation is a fantastic place to fly. I completed my Instrument rating with CFIIs JJ and Asher. Both are A++ instructors. Jessica and Emma, who run the office are always a pleasure to work with and provide excellent service. The fleet of aircraft is beautiful. From upgraded glass panel Archers, to a sharp looking C-172, to great fleet of G6 Cirrus SRx and more, there is a vast choice of aircraft to rent and train in. I’m all in on Cirrus at the moment – they are amazing machines to fly. One of the things I love most about Clipper is the community. Its clear the team at Clipper is passionate about aviation, has an unrelenting commitment to safety, and is focused on creating a best-in-class environment for people to pursue and grow their interests in aviation. For sure I recommend taking advantage of the seminars and sim.
