DMCA and Copyright

Our position

Bravo respects the rights of photographers, publishers, and other copyright holders. Aircraft, airport, and company imagery on the site comes from operators who claim their listings, from public registries, and from third-party aviation photography sources, and we credit the source where one is available. If you believe material on Bravo infringes a copyright you own or control, tell us and we will act under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512).

How to send a takedown notice

Email the designated agent below. For a notice to be valid under the DMCA it must include:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed (or a representative list if there are several).
2. The exact URL on checkbravo.com where the material appears, and enough detail for us to find it (for example the operator slug or the image file name).
3. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Put “DMCA notice” in the subject line. We normally acknowledge within two business days and remove or disable access to the material promptly once the notice checks out. We may forward your notice, including your contact details, to the person who posted the material.

Counter-notices

If material you posted was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same agent. It must include: identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and telephone number; a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which Bravo GPA, LLC may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice; and your signature. We may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original claimant tells us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly post infringing material are closed. Knowingly false notices or counter-notices carry liability under 17 U.S.C. 512(f).
