How a broker works for you

01

Brief the trip

Route, dates, passengers, and preferences — a good broker turns that into a precise aircraft spec.

02

Source the operator

Brokers shop your trip across FAA Part 135 operators, comparing aircraft, positioning, and price.

03

Verify, then fly

The operator on the certificate flies you. Check their safety ratings and reviews here before you sign.

Ask any broker which Part 135 operator will fly your trip — then look them up on the operator register.

Today was my first time visiting Sofia Airport, and I came away pleasantly surprised. It may not be one of Europe’s giant international hubs, but that’s actually part of its charm. The airport feels manageable, efficient, and easy to navigate, which makes the travel experience significantly less stressful than in many larger airports. One of the first things I noticed was how straightforward everything is. From arrival to departure, the layout is intuitive, distances are reasonable, and you don’t spend your time walking endless corridors or trying to figure out where to go. The airport feels clean, organized, and functional. Security and passenger flow moved smoothly during my visit, and the overall atmosphere was calm rather than chaotic. What I particularly appreciated was the sense of practicality. Sofia Airport seems designed around helping travelers get where they need to go efficiently, without unnecessary complexity. The facilities offer everything most travelers need: * Cafés and food options. * Shops for travel essentials. * Comfortable waiting areas. * Easy access to transportation into the city. Another pleasant surprise was how quickly you can move through the airport compared to many larger European destinations. That alone makes a noticeable difference when traveling frequently. If it’s your first time visiting Sofia, the airport also provides a very good first impression of Bulgaria: welcoming, practical, unpretentious, and increasingly modern. My tip for travelers would be to take advantage of how close the airport is to the city. Compared with many European capitals, getting from the airport into central Sofia is remarkably convenient. Overall, Sofia Airport delivers exactly what many travelers want but rarely find: simplicity, efficiency, and a stress-free experience.

Clean, easy to navigate, beautiful, lots of natural light. Metro station right at the exit, you can be downtown in 15 minutes! Fully accessible for wheelchair users. Lots of other transport options available.

Sofia Airport was a clean and easy-to-use airport. It is not too big, so it was very easy to understand where to go, even for a first-time visitor to Sofia. The inside of the airport felt simple, bright, and well organized. The signs were easy to follow, and the staff were kind and helpful when I needed assistance. I felt comfortable moving around the airport without getting confused. The metro station is located outside the airport building, so you need to walk out first, but it was easy to find by following the signs. It was very convenient for getting into the city center. Overall, Sofia Airport is a clean, compact, and traveler-friendly airport with helpful staff and good access to public transportation. You have to take a shuttle bus to get to Terminal 1. Go right way after you exit the terminal 2. Will take about 5-10 minutes.

Really different experience depending on the terminal: -Terminal 1: Original Sofia's airport with a functional design that is usually overcrowded as the gates are too close one from the other and there are only seats for half of the passengers. You need to take a shuttle bus to Terminal 2 in order to take the metro. -Terminal 2: Newer terminal with a beatiful design, wide corridors and straitgh connection by metro to downtown.

good airport, well connected to the city centre with the metro which is efficient and cheap. just be aware that there are two terminals. i flew to sofia with ryanair but returned with wizzair, which uses a separate terminal. the metro takes you to the main one and my ticket didn’t specify the terminal, so i only realised when it wouldn’t scan. a security guard told me i had to go to the other terminal and pointed me to the free shuttle just outside. luckily i had plenty of time and the shuttle was there as soon as i got out. the wizzair terminal is smaller but still has the essentials, including a water refill station near the first gates, and security was quick and smooth. overall a pretty pleasant experience.
