Air Mauritius.

My husband and I flew out and obviously requested halal food. They gave his halal meal to someone else and then just brought him the same food as everyone else claiming it was halal. If it were halal, why would it be in a different category? No thought or consideration for Muslims. They didn’t even seem embarrassed about it. Also, the halal meal had apple as dessert while the not halal option got a brownie. Personally, I wouldn’t fly with them again today if I hadn’t already booked.

We recently flew Air Mauritius on our holiday to Mauritius and had an excellent experience. Due to schedule changes, our outbound journey involved a connection via Paris CDG before boarding an Airbus A350 to Mauritius. While we would have preferred direct flights in both directions and the same UK airport for departure and arrival, the flights themselves were superb. The cabin crew on both sectors were friendly, professional and attentive throughout. The meals were hot, tasty and well presented – my chicken curry was particularly good, while my wife thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian pasta option. Both overnight flights were on the Airbus A350, which we found to be a comfortable aircraft. On our return flight, an aircraft change meant we flew on an A350 rather than the scheduled A330, and we were fortunate to have a spare seat in our row, making the journey even more comfortable. What impressed me most was the service from the cabin crew during the overnight flights. While most passengers were sleeping, the crew regularly walked through the cabin checking on passengers, offering water and juice, and ensuring the toilets remained clean and well stocked throughout the flight. My wife managed to get some excellent sleep on both flights. Unfortunately I didn't, but that's entirely down to me rather than the airline! The attentive crew gave me plenty of opportunity to appreciate the level of service being provided throughout the night. Overall, Air Mauritius delivered exactly what you hope for on a long-haul flight: friendly staff, good food, comfortable aircraft and excellent service. We would happily fly with them again and perhaps next time we'll treat ourselves to Business Class and those tempting lie-flat beds! Flight MK017 Friday 10th of April. Several members of the crew were quite unfriendly and, at times, even rude. * There was very little politeness or basic courtesy. * Some crew members were quite abrupt, including when waking passengers with bright lights in a rather harsh way. * Overall, the tone and attitude was distant and lacking in care, they even always seemed annoyed by any passengers… At the end of the flight, there was no farewell or acknowledgment when we disembarked. To be honest they were horrible and not only with us but with almost all passengers…

Very disappointing experience. Our flight was delayed by three hours, and we only found out when boarding was supposed to start. There was no information on the screens, only a verbal announcement, which is unacceptable for passengers who are hard of hearing or do not speak English. The ground staff were unfriendly and rude, with no apologies or empathy despite the fact that many passengers were going to miss their connecting flights. The aircraft was poorly cleaned, the restroom was in terrible condition, and the cabin crew were not welcoming. Considering the high ticket price, the overall service was extremely disappointing. One of the worst airline experiences in my 32 trips around the world.

I have been traveling all around the world and Mauritius is a destination I go to every year for nearly 8 years now. I spent a lot of time with Air Mauritius with and without my babies, and I can only say that service is just perfect, flight quality is top and incomparable with other companies covering Mauritius. Be mindful we are talking of a 12h flight, so service is key and they are top.
