As an Anchorage based air carrier, Alaska Air Transit (AAT) provides on-demand charter service, and community centered scheduled service throughout Alaska, Canada, and the Lower 48. By upholding standards of safe and dependable operation, we partner with our customers to serve the communities and industries of Alaska.
Alaska Air Transit was formed in 1992, and has been operated by its current owners since 2004. Starting with two employees and two older piston engine aircraft, AAT has evolved into a company of more than 25 employees, operating a fleet of five modern, efficient, and safe turboprop aircraft. All of our pilots are highly experienced career professionals with backgrounds in the airlines, military, or Alaskan bush industry. AAT’s mechanics, our longest-running employees, are professionals who maintain our aircraft to very high standards. Our dedicated customer service, operations, and line service staff have a long-time commitment to aviation. Most are private, instrument, or commercial rated pilots, and a few are enrolled in AAT’s new second in command program.

I booked a special trip for my parents using AAT and it was incredible. The aircraft was clean with modern avionics, and the pilot Mark was well versed with the aircraft and its capabilities. Would definitely charter with them again.

I have been on 5 round trip flights from Anchorage to the Alaska Peninsula with AAT and I have the outmost confidence in every aspect of their operation. The pilots are professional and obviously very experienced. The planes are immaculate. They fly in difficult weather, but obviously use excellent judgement and don’t fly if they are not happy with the conditions. I can’t recommend them more highly!

Alaska Air Transit have excellent employees. I arrived early for my flight, so there were hardly any customers in the building. It felt great to take my time and the employees weren't rushing, so they had plenty of time to help me with my questions and luggage. My truck was parked in overnight parking, so no worries about parking. The pilot was very funny and also very polite. The flight was very quick, so don't get too comfortable. The seating is great for standard size folks, so if you're taller or wider then you may have some space issues. All my luggage arrive in one piece, so I can't complain about anything!
