Amref provided exceptional care and professionalism during one of the most critical moments of my father’s life. From the first contact to the successful medical evacuation, their team was responsive, compassionate, and incredibly well-coordinated. The medical staff were highly skilled and attentive, making him feel safe and well cared for throughout the journey. Every detail — from logistics to communication — was handled with precision and heart. I am beyond grateful for their dedication and humanity. Amref doesn’t just offer a service, they offer hope when it matters most. Highly recommended without hesitation.

I would like to thank the entire AMREF Team for the great job you have done. Without your help, taking us from the Seychells back to to germany, my wife would probably not be alive. Thank god that there are people like you 🙏🏼 Marco Leuci For the entire Leuci Family

DO NOT PURCHASE AMREF INSURANCE! My brother experienced high altitude pulmonary edema and had an oxygen saturation of 74 after descending from 4700 to 4200m. He was vomiting profusely, delirious, and needed emergency medical care. Amref would not provide a helicopter evacuation nor would they coordinate an ambulance to the nearest hospital. In big bold letters on the email they send to you it states: Benefits include: * Unlimited evacuation flights per year for medical emergencies. * Unlimited ground ambulance transfers within Kenya for medical emergencies. * Access to our 24hr Medical Helpline for professional medical advice. * Direct contact with AMREF Flying Doctors medical professionals - no third party. Noted deep in the Terms and Conditions it states: - Evacuation from Mountains, remote areas (very far from airstrips), or high altitude evacuations will conducted from the closest serviceable airstrip and transfer will be done to Nairobi. - Medevac by helicopters are not covered under Maisha. These can however be arranged for a service fee. THIS FALSE ADVERTISING COULD HAVE BEEN DEADLY. Thankfully our guide and porters physically carried my brother 15km and coordinated a different ambulance. He is safe and we're grateful, but I cannot stress how distressing it was not to be able to get the medical evacuation support needed in a crisis.

I want to thank Amref Flying doctors of Nairobi and the flight crew, in particular the medical team: Dr. Ezekiel Aluda and the professional nurse Anthony Kihara...from the Wilson airport to the Italian hospital room for the patient. Thank you very much also to mr. Douglas for organising all ❤️🙏❤️
