They are thieves. They have taken over CYQB (Quebec) and there is no longer any alternative FBO. Now that they have the monopoly, like any skilled anti-competitive and abusive company, they have decided to implement a ridiculous policy for small pilots where they charge an 80$ ramp fee for anything more than 15 minutes of parking. This can be reduced if you get gas, but this is where their policy becomes even more surreal because you need to buy double the gas to receive a discount. Double the gas would be more than the empty fuel of my small single-engine. The reality is that this kind of policy can come only from arrogant management totally lacking in vision. Their approach to the broader aviation community is creating significant anger from the very people who might one day become their more significant clients. I would encourage anyone thinking about using their services to spend a few minutes on Foreflight, or the forums, where you will see hundreds of pilots complaining about their abusive stronghold tactics aimed at ending general aviation. Too bad that a home-grown Quebec company, with Desjardins as a shareholder, is turning against its own local community. A real shame.
