Update: Every time the fees keep going up, less airplanes around. Old: Overall good experiences, definitely seems there has been a slow down. They have decent staff at the airport. It has had its bumps along the way, but overall happy with the service.

This is a fantastic facility with an outstanding team! Everyone here is friendly and welcoming, yet they also respect your space. If you prefer to keep to yourself, they’ll give you that space, but if you’re looking for conversation or local tips, they’re more than happy to engage. The lounge is beautifully furnished and feels more like a cozy mountain lodge than a typical FBO waiting area. If they added a restaurant, Cap Jet could easily become a true destination FBO for regional and GA pilots. Take a look at Elevation Chophouse and Sky Bar at KRYY, that model could work incredibly well here! The only reason for the three-star rating is the shortage of hangar space. This is a five-star operation limited by infrastructure. Long-term parking is currently line-only, and the long waiting list for hangar storage creates a major barrier for local pilots who want to buy and protect their aircraft from the elements. Right now, many Charleston-area GA pilots have to rent the only (1) plane available in Charleston, a C-172 at $185/hr, or drive an hour or more to access hangar space elsewhere, turning what should be a quick morning flight into an all-day ordeal. We just want to fly without adding a 2–3 hour round trip drive to reach our airplanes! It would also be nice to build equity in our own plane, rather than helping someone else do the same. Hangar space - the last hurdle to making CapJet a true 5 star facility!
