Stopped by on a cross-country flight for fuel and food (Waypoint Cafe is right next door and is excellent). Had a tire issue and their maintenance team was very kind in helping to take a look and pumping the tyre.

First, I have never taken a flight lesson from CIA. I am serious about taking flight lessons. I went in to sign up for an Intro Flight, and I found their Flight School Manager to be totally inflexible, totally unfriendly, and a total jerk. It is his way or the highway. I chose the highway. When you take flight lessons you want to deal with people that are at least reasonably sociable and pleasant. If you are considering taking flight lessons, I highly recommend that you talk to CFI (Camarillo Flight Instruction) or CP Aviation (in Santa Paula) instead.

I got my private at Channel Islands Aviation and enjoyed every minute of it. All the staff was very friendly and on top of things. My training was nice and structured to keep things on track and efficient. The safety and my progress was most important and their planes are in good condition. Del & David are so nice and encouraging, and with every landmark they made it special. Thanks to everyone for your support.

Got stuck for a few hours with the morning fog and it was a fantastic FBO to wait in. It was clean, has good wifi, and indoor/outdoor seating for your wait. Service is terrific as well if you need fuel or even a ride to the aircraft museum!

I don't know about their lessons but I'm tired of them circling my house for 50 mins at a time. I don't like that they try to hide their identities by shutting off their transponders. Well, today you left it on too long.
