I was flying along and my engine started shuttering every now and then. I did a mag check and the right mag was dead. I'm an A&P and I do all my own work so I'm always a little apprehensive when somebody else works on my plane. I stopped in Odessa for fuel and needed to have someone fix the mag. I would have done it myself if I had tools, but I didn't. They got me right in and had me on my way in less than two hours. They did it in record time and it worked perfect. The bill was very reasonable.

Used their West location at Odessa Schlemeyer Field during a stop-over. Nice enough guys but I asked them to replace a mag based on previous trouble-shooting and when I returned they had spent a bunch of time re-doing the testing and eventually I ended up w/ a partially rebuilt mag for about what it would have cost to swap it out for a professionally rebuilt unit. They charged me an absurd shop rate of $125/hr, and also broke my ignition switch while they were doing the work.
