Eurowings is a dreadful airline. They charged me twice for the same hand luggage. I paid online for two cabin bags, which I was allowed to take on board. Because of their own administrative mess, they failed to register the payment and then forced me to pay again at the airport, even though I showed them a receipt proving that the luggage had already been paid for. Trying to get a refund for the duplicate charge is practically impossible. In short: avoid Eurowings.

The only airline I know that advertises one price for a ticket yet after purchase adds an unavoidable fee for check-in. One can not fly without checking in so advertising a ticket price online which is 20 EUR less than the final price just to attract customer attention seems dubious, why not just advertise a ticket price of 20 EUR and then charge 100 for check-in, that would get even more attention right :)). Anyway, I did not expect this trickery, and I thought it must be a mistake, because you could not check in online without paying. I thought, 'thats odd, I will just check in at the desk', it seems 162 others thought the same thing (yes I counted), because as you see in the photo, the confusion generated a massive queue, I felt sorry for the elderly passengers standing for over an hour next to me. When I finally got to the desk I was told it is no mistake, and was asked to pay 20 EUR to check in. for info, my flight was on 20.03.2026 Eurowings, I will take this post down if you refund me my check-in fee.

Flew Heathrow to Cologne return with Eurowings. Both flights were delayed, with little clear communication. Looking at the departures and arrivals boards, delays seem to be routine rather than exceptional. This made the journey stressful and unreliable. I would think twice before booking with them again if punctuality matters.

We had no other option but to use Eurowings to fly back from Dubai to Berlin and it was an absolute nightmare. For reference we flew Economy with Swiss from Zurich to Dubai and got normal leg space, pillows, blankets and food all included…which is normal for a 7 hour flight. On our Eurowings flight from Dubai to Berlin they used an A320 machine, google it, it’s unbelievably small and should not be used for long haul flights. Our seats were non reclining as were all the economy seats, completely unacceptable for seven hours and something I have never seen before on any other long haul flights. The food was not included and it was also disgusting. You got no blankets or pillows, the seats felt like cardboard and all the seats were so tightly together that I could feel the person behind me’s knees all up on my back. My own knees were touching the front seat and I am a small woman (1.60m). My boyfriend could barely sit normally as he is very tall. I had a panic attack as I am claustrophobic and the thought of flying in those tight conditions for seven hours terrified me. The airplane staff did not care at all about my full blown panic attack and didn’t even attempt to accommodate to us or offer anything. We would have been fully ready to pay for an upgrade but nothing was even mentioned. The staff were unfriendly in general and not helpful at all. Do yourself a favor and if you see a flight with Eurowings BOOK A DIFFERENT FLIGHT!!!!

Dont fly with Eurowings! They are often late and there is no room for your legs. The stewardess told me that it was not possible to change seat since the ones with normal leg room was buisness. Even ryan air is better.
