Our travel to and from Madikwe was a bit of a mixed bag: First impressions were good, being met at the airport and taken by shuttle to their lounge, where check in was seamless and the lounge comfortable. Flight to Madikwe was on time and trouble free. The problems started the night before our return, when they sent a message that our flight the next day would be an hour delayed, which would make our connection to the next flight tight but still manageable. However, the next morning we were informed about a further delay, sorry, no space on their earlier flight, just suck it up. Poor communication caused us endless stress, since it seemed we would not make it in time for our connecting flight, resulting in us cancelling meetings for the next day and starting to look at overnight accommodation and alternative flight bookings. Eventually, when we arrived back at OR Tambo from Madikwe, the Guest Service Agent who met us, Humbulani, fast tracked us through bag drop for our next flight and through security, saving the day and ensuring that we were just in time. However, better communication from Federal Air throughout the process could have made this a much less stressful experience.

Travel to and from Madikwe Game Reserve and overall experience was very good. Seamless check in process and personnel professional and very helpful.
