flyBAIR is a virtual carrier to be based at Bern, Switzerland. The carrier was established by Bern Belp Airport and other Swiss founders, in order to offer scheduled services to holiday destinations from Bern following the grounding of SkyWork Airlines. In Feb-2020, flyBAIR signed a cooperation agreement with Helvetic Airways to enable Helvetic to operate flyBAIR full charter services from Bern and Sion, operating with Embraer E190 equipment. The startup completed a capital increase and entry in the commercial register. The new share capital of the company is CHF1.63 million, with close to 1400 shareholders holding 5520 shares, including a 15.3% held by Flughafen Bern AG. flyBAIR commenced service operations on 18-Jul-2020 from Bern and Sern to Palma de Mallorca.
