My experience at Frankfurt was exceptional from the moment I landed. The airport is modern, efficient, and incredibly well organized. Immigration was surprisingly fast, signage was clear, and transportation connections were excellent. The city itself reflects German precision and cleanliness. Public transport is reliable, streets are safe, and the infrastructure is world-class. I especially appreciated how easy it was to move around even as a first-time visitor. Whether for business or tourism, Frankfurt offers a perfect balance of modern development and European charm. I would highly recommend it to solo travelers looking for comfort, safety, and convenience.

Frankfurt-Hahn Airport needs better signage, especially for first-time travelers. If it’s your first time using this airport, it can be quite confusing to find your way around. One of the biggest issues is the lack of clear directional signs, particularly when arriving by public transport. I arrived using Bus 615, and there was almost no guidance indicating which direction to walk to reach the airport terminal. After getting off the bus, there were no obvious signs or clear pathways showing where passengers should go. For someone unfamiliar with the airport layout, it creates unnecessary stress and uncertainty. Airports are supposed to make passenger movement simple and efficient, especially for international visitors and people arriving without private transport. Even a few visible signs at the bus stop and along the walking route would make a huge difference. The airport itself may be functional, but the arrival experience could be significantly improved with clearer wayfinding and better information for public transport users. I hope airport management considers improving signage so future travelers can navigate more easily and avoid confusion.

If you ever fly from Frankfurt, make sure you don’t accidentally book a ticket leaving from Hahn. It is closer to Luxembourg than Frankfurt.. Flibco organises bus shuttles which is nice but the airport is one of the worst airports in Europe I have even been to.

In the middle of nowhere, hard to get to or away unless you drive/ have a car. A bit empty, building site. Not much in the building, only a handful of shops and even McDonald's serves the bare minimum menu! On the positive, not much of a queue to get through security or passport control, but then there are only a handful of flights per day.

Tiny airport that should not have Frankfurt’s name attached since it’s nowhere near Frankfurt. Also the total opposite of Frankfurt airport- Germany’s biggest and most active airport. Hahn only has a couple of loading areas, but if you are looking for laid back and easy this is it.
