This apology is nothing more than an attempt to look good in front of future customers after refusing to refund the money you took. If you truly cared about people and about the policies you claim to stand behind, you could have denied the flight if you felt that was necessary, but you would have either refunded the $400 that was paid or rescheduled the flight for the following day without additional fees, since the service had already been paid for in full. What makes this even more disappointing is that you are trying to portray yourself as the reasonable party while keeping money for a service that was never provided. Apologies without actions to support them are empty words, and there is nothing in your handling of this situation that demonstrates honesty or good faith. We confirmed by phone approximately ten minutes before arrival that we were already on our way, and we arrived in time to board. No policy and no carefully worded response changes that fact. Nor does it change the fact that you kept money for a service you did not provide. Doing business with companies that operate this way is extremely unpleasant. If you had taken a more customer-focused approach, you could have earned loyal, long-term customers and positive referrals for years to come. Instead, you chose to keep $400 for a one-time transaction at the expense of trust, goodwill, and your reputation.

The people are friendly and professional. They make everything look easy and safe. Fun 20 minute ride. On the Catalina side there is a great family owned bar/restaurant featuring good drinks and Mexican food. I'll do it again. Enjoy!

What a smooth ride for a first timer on the chopper, thanks to our experienced pilot - Adam. The journey to Catalina Island was super easy and calm, and we even got to see dolphins. Complimentary overnight parking was available on site, which was a nice amenity. The only hiccup we had was departing at the same time as the cruise arrival (given the traffic follow the same direction until you reach Maverick)…we really thought we would miss our flight. It would have been helpful to know that there is a turn right in front of Maverick that we could use in an extreme situation such as this one.

I had an incredible experience flying with Maverick Helicopters. Our pilot was extremely friendly and made the ride feel very comfortable. We were lucky enough to have the helicopter all to ourselves on the flight over to Catalina, which made it feel even more intimate and special. I have nothing but great things to say about the entire experience. One detail I really appreciated was having a taxi ready and waiting for us when we landed, such a thoughtful touch. Our pilot even took a little extra time to show us a school of dolphins along the way, which was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend Maverick to anyone looking for a memorable and seamless travel experience and we will definitely be back.
