We wish to report the unprofessional and disrespectful conduct of a Turkish police officer stationed at the door connecting the Atatürk Airport VIP lounge to the aircraft boarding area. The officer stated that he never observed smoking in a restricted area or using foul language. This behavior is unacceptable for any officer, but is particularly damaging for one in such a visible role, as it creates an extremely negative first and last impression of Turkey for visiting dignitaries and guests.
