Dr Simon & Nurse Jess were incredible for our family. My husband suffered multiple life threatening issues including collapsed lung, blood loss, failing kidney, infections and other issues. Simon & Jess were our superheros. They were calm & warm, incredibly efficient and clearly very experienced. Dr S reviewed the international hospital reports and gave a comprehensive handover to our home hospital. They managed a complex case and treated my husband with dignity and compassion. They even showed care to my young son who had witnessed the trauma. We owe my husband's life to Dr S; I would not hesitate to call on him again if needed.

In August last year we received the devastating news our brother Andrew had been in a motorcycle accident in Thailand and was lying unconscious on a ventilator in ICU with multiple rib fractures, fractured vertebrae, Fractured clavicle, sternum and scapula,haematomas on kidneys, liver, bilateral pneumothoraxes and haemothoraxes, head and leg wounds. He had his spleen removed soon after and developed multiple deep vein thrombosis. Luckily for my brother and our family we were put in contact with Medevac Flights and we were able to Medevac him back to the Alfred hospital ICU. I met the amazing Dr Nick and Nurse Dennis who were so thorough and professional and kept me informed on all that was required to get my brother home safely! I can not say Thankyou enough to Nick and Dennis the pilot and Will Cassidy who helped coordinate the entire process. We now have Andrew back with his family and friends , his injuries are all healed and he’s returning to the life he had before his accident. Grateful forever . Deb

Our family cannot THANK YOU enough for how you have saved our Son's life by having him flown home from Fiji last week. Your professionalism throughout this extremely stressful event is nothing but outstanding. From the first phone call to the last confirming our Son was safely back in Melbourne was so comforting knowing he was in safe hands. Thank you again we now have him awake and communicating which wouldn't have happened without you all.
