We did a 30-minute helicopter flight with Nautilus today and it was hands-down one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. The entire process was fantastic from start to finish. Booking was easy, and the office staff were incredible—friendly, patient, helpful and accommodating. We had an above-knee amputee in our group, and the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was straightforward and comfortable. Our pilot (whose name I’ve unfortunately forgotten because I’m terrible with names!) was absolutely amazing. He was friendly, professional, and full of interesting information throughout the flight. You could tell he genuinely enjoyed what he does, and that made the experience even better. The flight itself was breathtaking. Seeing Cairns and the surrounding area from the air was something we’ll never forget. Photos don’t do it justice—you simply have to experience it for yourself. This was one of those bucket-list experiences that actually exceeds expectations. Every staff member we dealt with was fantastic, and the whole operation felt professional, safe and well-run. If you’re considering a helicopter flight, do it with Nautilus!! It is absolutely worth every cent. 10/10. Highly recommend

30 minute helicopter flight to see The Great Barrier Reef was amazing experience. Staff are very good from the booking process through to the end of the trip. Our pilot was very good and provided info throughout the flight. Helicopters are modern and clean. Highly recommend these guys for your next scenic flight.

If you’re even thinking about doing a helicopter tour in Cairns, just book it, Nautilus Aviation absolutely delivers. We did the 30-minute reef flight and it was hands down one of the best experiences we’ve had. The views were next level… that kind of “photos don’t do it justice” scenery where the reef colours look almost unreal. A huge shoutout to Xavier, our pilot, who was outstanding. Super knowledgeable, calm, and clearly passionate about what he does. He didn’t just fly the route, he made the experience. At one point he spotted manta rays and actually circled back so everyone in the helicopter could get a proper look. That kind of attention to detail made it feel really personal. Miriam, our hostess, was just as impressive—welcoming, professional, and made everything feel smooth from start to finish. You could tell the whole team genuinely cares about the experience they’re delivering. Everything from the safety briefing to the flight itself was seamless and well-run. If you want a memorable way to see the reef, this is it. Genuinely unforgettable. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Amazing. One thing is to snorkel the reef (I have done it twice), but is a different experience from the air. The tour had to be altered because of the weather. They gave us a choice of a shorter tour with a partial refund or do the entire 45 minutes on the reef. We all elected to do the entire 45 minutes on the reef and skip the rainforest. I thought that was super professional and amazing business ethics. One of my buck list wishes checked marked. What a view. What a feeling of floating in the air with such amazing views. Highly recommend to do it. We were given a safety briefing before boarding. The captain was super energetic and made everyone feel safe. Now I have seen the reef from not only under the water but also from above.
