Travelled "business class" on flight FA-691, in April 2026 from JNB -CPT. My brand new suitcase, which had never been used before, arrived in CPT in unacceptable condition. The damage to the case is far beyond what might be considered reasonable - it looks as if it has been dragged along gravel. There are signs not only that the case was dragged, but also thrown/dropped. When I opened the case I found that my portable monitor screen was cracked. Ive travelled with this screen in check-in luggage, both domestic and international, over a 2 year period and its never been an issue. I have submitted a complaint, explaining all these details along with proofs of purchase and photos and all Ive recieved in response is a generic email referring me to lost property. I would like an explanation as to how this occurred and why Safair feels that it is acceptable to treat any customers belongings in this manner. This is completely unacceptable, especially after having paid for business class which apparently includes priority luggage handling.

Thanks for cancelling flights with a few hours notice when your media statements all indicated no disruptions would take place during the 21 July pilot's strike.
