I entrusted Saudi Cargo with transporting my healthy 7-year-old dog from Cairo to Jeddah (Flight SV302, 03 January 2026) She was medically examined and certified fit for air travel prior to departure. Upon arrival, there was a significant delay in locating and releasing her. After release, she showed signs of distress. Veterinary evaluation confirmed blunt abdominal trauma, splenic rupture, and internal hemorrhage. Pathology ruled out malignant disease and indicated trauma-related injury. She subsequently passed away as a result of the documented injuries. No written explanation of the mechanism of injury has been provided. No incident notification was given upon arrival. The matter has been formally submitted to aviation regulatory authorities for review of live animal handling standards. If you are considering transporting a live animal, I strongly recommend clarifying handling procedures and incident reporting protocols in advance.
