No one expects to have a medical emergency away from home but unfortunately, that is the situation we found ourselves recently faced with. My husband suffered a stroke while traveling in San Diego, CA. I flew down to be with him and after it was determined that he was stable enough to be released, the hospital encouraged him staying in CA for inpatient rehab. Coming up on the holidays and having our family back home in Idaho, we wanted to get him closer to home and our strong support system but I will be honest, was unsure if I could do it alone traveling on a commercial flight. I randomly googled "travel nurses" and Sky Nurses was the first to pop up. I called and spoke to Mary at what I think was in the middle of the night for her and I was immediately assured that they could help us get home. From that point forward, they took care of every little detail. The day before we were to fly home, Justin our clinician met us at the hospital to explain how discharge and the trip home would go. It was so reassuring to know that they truly did have every little detail covered as well as booking our first class tickets. The day of travel went off without a hitch and Justin was such a professional, compassionate and fun clinician. He literally got us from one hospital bed to the other, monitoring my husbands vitals the entire time. I can not thank or recommend the Sky Nurse Team enough for all they did to make a very uncertain time in our lives less stressful.

Sky Nurses arranged to accompany my aging mother and her daughter from her home in Los Angeles to her new home in assisted living in Boston, MA They are well-organized and effective. Logistics were planned thoughtfully in advance, communication was good, and on the day of the flight the nurse was friendly, attentive, reassuring and competent. All in all, a good experience, delivering exactly what was promised.

We praise God for the excellent care that we received from the Sky Nurses family. The entire trip from the UK to the USA went exceptionally well. The nurse was well organized, well prepared, very attentive to my husband's needs before, during and after the flight. He even stayed with us until the hand-off and intake at the receiving hospital here in the states. He was very professional, knowledgable, observant, focused, well trained & very polite. Even though my husband was very ill he was very comfortable with his nurse Duncan. Thank you Sky Nurses for a wonderful experience during this repatriation.

Needed a medical escort to fly my 86 year old father in law from Phoenix to Orlando. He had just been released from a physical rehab center after hospitalization. He had no close relatives to rely on and our neighbor, a Registered Nurse, recommended SkyNurses. They gave me a quote in 24 hours, and even with a couple of added services, they were well below two other quotes from competitors. My father in law was very comfortable on the flight, and was very complementary of his medical escort nurse. She went over and above at the transfer at the airport . Would definitely use again, and I am very thankful for the great mission they performed.

Unparalleled service and professionalism from start to finish. I initiated contact on February 25 and the mission concluded on March 4, 2019. The administrative staff responded quickly to my inquiry and was responsive via phone and email. The flight nurse, Jane S., took such good care of my brother. First she checked him out at the nursing home on the upper west side of Manhattan the day before the flight, then she went to the nursing home on the travel day with ample time to spare to get to LaGuardia, via town car. Flying first class and having oxygen available were required in this situation and it was not a problem for the admin staff to make all of the travel arrangements and find a nurse capable of this assignment. Nurse Jane kept in touch with me by phone and text with progress reports. Upon arrival, she gave a full report to the staff at the receiving facility near Chicago. My brother was very satisfied with the care she provided especially given his various medical needs. I highly recommend this company should any of your loved ones require skilled nursing assistance for travel.
