Outstanding above and beyond service, with highest safety and maintenance standards. They operate the national medical rescue service which is further source of comfort and confidence.

I can't applaud Westair aviation's customer care enough. They went above and beyond to resolve unexpected travel issues due to COVID and were always polite and helpful. The actual flight was great too and left exactly as scheduled. 10/10

I've NEVER ever ever complained about a company on this kind of site, whether they sell plane tickets or clothes or whatever. I don't like to sound like someone who complains too much. But my flight with Westair was a nightmare, the worst flight of my life. I took a repatriation flight with Westair on July 18th, between Windhoek and Frankfurt. The flight was crazy expensive, late and very uncomfortable. I reported these problems to the company and asked for compensation, as I also missed my connection, but I have not received a reply for 3 weeks. To begin with, the plane ticket cost me 1,468.84 euros, or 28,000 Namibian dollars, whereas the outward journey had only cost me 300 euros. When the flight was first announced, the advertised price was between 800 and 1000 euros, but additional costs were constantly being added.In times of COVID, we obviously understand that airline tickets are a little more expensive. However, at that price, we would expect a minimum of social distancing and a comfortable plane. On the contrary, we were extremely tight in the plane, like in a low cost flight like Ryanair (or even worse than in Ryanair planes, in which I never had any problems) and the entertainment systems were defective on most of the seats. My seat neighbour was constantly touching me with his arm because we had no room to move away. Concerning the lateness, for starters the arrival time was constantly changing. Fixed at 6:45 am (which pushed me to take a Frankfurt-sParis train ticket at 11 am), it was 7:30 am on the last ticket. However, the plane took off more than 2 hours late, due to a problem with luggage loading, which is quite funny considering that we were asked to check in at 4pm while the boarding was scheduled at 10pm (6 hours were thus not enough time to load the luggage...). We arrived in Frankfurt at 10 a.m. so I missed the departure of my train, forcing me to buy a ticket at 112 euros (instead of 50 euros for the first ticket). Given the changes in prices, timetables, the malfunctioning of entertainment systems and, above all, the total absence of possible social distancing, most companies would make a gesture towards their passengers, especially those - very numerous - who missed their connections because of the 2.5-hour delay. Unfortunately, this is not the case with Westair since, as I have already said, I have been waiting for a response to my request since 23 July. I therefore strongly advise against taking any flight with this company.
