Lanier Flight Center

Great staff. Very professional. Nice aircraft. They have helicopters as well. I earned my instrument rating here. My instructor Matt Maple is an amazing instructor! All the other instructors are excellent, helpful, and encouraging. I recently earned high performance check out in a very nice Cirrus aircraft with Anthony B. another excellent instructor. Both my son and daughter are training here. It is a well run operation. I love training at Lanier flight center!

Lanier Flight Center in Gainesville, Georgia has been absolutely fantastic! I can’t say enough great things about the facilities, aircraft, and staff. James Staiti, aka Jimmy, has been my CFI, and his professionalism, knowledge, and dedication have been outstanding every step of the way. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn how to fly!

I earned my Private Pilot Certificate from Lanier Flight Center back in August, and they were very professional and organized. It took me a bit longer because of general life circumstances (a story all too common in flight training), but I stuck with it. Specifically, my instructor Matt Maple was fantastic. My first instructor Max was also awesome, so awesome that he is now flying jets for an airline, and Matt picked up where Max left off and got me across the finish line. He is extremely personable, so it was easy to spend many hours with him in the cockpit, and he did a great job teaching me what I needed to learn. If you take flight lessons at Lanier Flight Center, ask for Matt to be your instructor!

I can’t say enough good things about this school. They worked with me every step of the way to get me ready for my PPL checkride. I am lucky to have been paired with CFI Jimmy Staiti who taught me everything from day 1. I literally could not even taxi the plane in a straight line when I first started and yesterday I passed my PPL checkride. I am only home to fly Friday-Sunday because of work and Jimmy was so accommodating and worked with me any chance I got. I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. There are several flight schools around and I’m happy I chose Lanier. I’m looking forward to working with Jimmy and the other instructors on my next ratings.

I bought my husband a Discovery Flight and we booked it for today. We had an amazing time! Mike was our instructor and we really enjoyed his knowledge and the way he explained things. We'll definitely be doing this again and I'd highly recommend it (even for someone that may not be interested in getting a license).
