How a broker works for you

01

Brief the trip

Route, dates, passengers, and preferences — a good broker turns that into a precise aircraft spec.

02

Source the operator

Brokers shop your trip across FAA Part 135 operators, comparing aircraft, positioning, and price.

03

Verify, then fly

The operator on the certificate flies you. Check their safety ratings and reviews here before you sign.

Ask any broker which Part 135 operator will fly your trip — then look them up on the operator register.

I’ve been flying with Cristian and have loved every minute at Texas Skies Flight School. Cristian is a very knowledgeable instructor and explains things clearly. In the aircraft he always makes sure you’re comfortable/confident and remains a calm and informational instructor at all times. He’s very structured and asks for feedback which I think helps my learning experience drastically. I would highly recommend Cristian to anyone looking for a solid instructor.

Texas Skies is a great flight school for anyone trying to get into aviation. I completed my PPL with Ethan last July, and can’t say enough good things about him. Ethan was great at helping me feel confident in the airplane, and really helped in areas I struggled with the most. He practiced several mock orals with me before my check ride, which prepared me for any questions when they came up on my check ride day. The whole experience with everyone at Texas Skies has been great, and i’d recommend them to anyone looking to do the same!

Cristian Hernandez is the GOAT!!! I am currently working with Cristian on my Private Pilots Certificate at the school. Cristian is a kind, smart, and helpful instructor who will work with you when you need help and will commend you when you do well. He is very informative and knowledgeable during ground lessons, he is also very patient in the aircraft. Whenever I am super stressed out Cristian is able to walk me through what I can improve upon and is able to guide me through tough situations. I have worked with Cristian for over 45 flights hours and I have had an amazing experience. I am confident in Cristians ability to prepare me for my checkride and I know he can do the same for any students that decide to fly with him.

I had the privilege of training with Ric Ramirez during my PPL journey. While I worked with a few different instructors, Ric was instrumental in preparing me for my cross-country flights and ultimately signing me off for my solos. As a retired Marine, he brings a level of discipline and 'precision flying' to the cockpit that is hard to find. He has a true growth mindset—he’s incredibly encouraging but holds you to a high standard. Beyond the flight hours, he acted as a mentor, offering insights that made me a better pilot and a more confident individual. Highly recommended for anyone serious about their training.

★★★★★ Jake Adams – That Rare Instructor Who’s Simply in a League of His Own I can’t say enough good things about Jake. He’s incredibly smart, an outstanding teacher, and somehow makes every lesson fun and completely stress-free. Whether it’s steep turns, emergency procedures, G1000 quirks, or finally nailing perfect landings, Jake explains everything clearly, patiently, and without a trace of ego. He’s humble, always open to questions, and truly dedicated to your progress. Every flight is perfectly tailored to where you are that day – you walk away noticeably better, and it honestly feels effortless because he’s just that good. On top of his teaching skill, Jake is super considerate of your time and money. Lessons are planned efficiently, ground briefings are focused, and he never wastes a minute of expensive Hobbs time. If you have the chance to fly with Jake Adams at Texas Skies, take it. He’s the kind of instructor who makes you fall in love with flying even more. 1000% recommend. Jake, I feel very fortunate to have found you as my CFI. Thank you – looking forward to the next flight! ★★★★★ Texas Skies Flight School – Absolutely love this place! Texas Skies is hands-down the best flight school I’ve ever been part of. From the moment you walk in, you feel the positive energy. There’s real camaraderie here; everyone (students, instructors, and staff) genuinely wants you to succeed, no matter where you are in your flying journey (PPL, instrument, Cirrus transition, or just having fun). People are always smiling, hanging out by the coffee machine, swapping stories, and happy to jump into a conversation about flying, weather, or the best $100 burger spots. It really feels like a big aviation family. The quality of instruction is top-notch; every CFI I’ve flown with (shoutout to Jake Adams!) is professional, patient, and truly excellent at teaching. The planes (especially the SR20s) are beautifully maintained, clean, and always ready to go. What really stands out is how well-run the school is. Scheduling flights through Flight Schedule Pro is a total breeze; no drama, no double-bookings, and the front desk team is super responsive and friendly. They’re considerate of your time and your wallet, which makes a huge difference when you’re training. If you’re looking for a professional, welcoming, and fun place to learn to fly (or keep flying) in the San Antonio area, Texas Skies is it. Couldn’t recommend them higher. Keep up the amazing work!
