Cote d'Azur Glamour & the Monaco Gateway

Nice is the aerial front door to the entire Cote d'Azur, from Saint-Tropez to Monaco, and one of the busiest summer private-jet destinations on earth. The season crescendos around the Cannes Film Festival in May, the Monaco Grand Prix the same month, and a July-August rush of yacht owners and charterers along the coast. Superyachts anchored off Antibes and Cap Ferrat set the tone.

Nice Cote d'Azur (NCE/LFMN) sits on a man-made platform between the sea and the hills, with two parallel runways and a dedicated business-aviation terminal run by well-established FBOs. Approaches over water and terrain to the north demand attention, and summer slots plus noise curfews are tight. Cannes-Mandelieu and Cannes serve as alternates. The signature transfer is a 7-minute helicopter flight to Monaco's Fontvieille heliport, or 20-30 minutes by car into Nice or Cap-Ferrat.
