Northwest Flyers began as an FBO in Schaumburg in 1986 founded by pilot Skip Barchfeld. Today it includes a flight school, air charter service and aircraft maintenance shop. We also offer a flight school and aircraft management program. Skip has logged over 37 years of professional aviation experience. His passion for flying is now shared by his son, Justin, who is the chief pilot for Northwest Flyers.

My family took Northwest Flyers Charter on a family reunion trip and we could not have been happier with the service that was provided. My Grandfather cannot travel via commercial airlines physically, and the staff and NWF was beyond helpful making sure that it went as smooth as possible for him in regards to getting in/out of the plane and arranging transportation on both ends. The pilots were very professional and personable as well. The charter staff answered a plethora of questions in the weeks leading up to the trip and provided top notch service from catering to payment. We will definitely be using them again in the future.
