Reeve Air Alaska.

We took Reeve Air (with Copper Valley Air) roundtrip from Anchorage out to McCarthy. The flights were all great, but I wrote this review specifically to give a huge shout out to Shelly whose customer service went above and beyond. When our flight back to Anchorage was delayed for some reason and we were concerned about making a connection, Shelly had a taxi waiting for us as we deplaned. Super friendly and helpful, Shelly is a true gem at Reeve!

Reeve Air Alaska just took over flights in and out of Valdez. The Reeve name is synonymous with flights in Alaska. It was a great experience with good communication, Shelly made my reservations and kept me posted on progress of the flight coming in in inclement weather. Adam our Pilot was friendly and professional acting as our ticket agent in Valdez. And as a pilot, I would like to fly with him anywhere I go. The Beachcraft King Air was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. I wish them well in their new service to Valdez.

A great experience with Reeve - good flights to and from Gulkana, proficient pilots, and they coordinated throughout with my connecting flights with Copper Valley Air to make sure I wasn't stranded during winter travel in Alaska. Excellent way to get from Anchorage to Gulkana and back - highly recommended!

To Outsiders (from the Lower 48,) taking a flight from ANC to remote Gulkana and from there transfer to the mail plane to McCarthy, was a very large act of faith. But no worries! Everyone at Reeve Air was professional, competent and capable. Finding the check in office was a bit of a mystery (it is around back) but exactly as indicated on Google maps. Our return from Gulkana was sublime, efficient and professional despite delays on out preceding mail flight due to other routes' delays. Reeves' and Copper Valley Air were in close communication and clearly attentive that no party under their care got stranded (whether at the Kennecott Mine, town of McCarthy, or assorted remote mining and hunting destinations.) We still marvel how the little Reeves plane taxi'ed across a roadway to access the run ways of the big (very big) commercial flights at Ted Stevens!

Mike Reeve went above any expectations to provide world class service. Initially the first flight was excellent, with the smoothest landing I've ever experienced. Then when it was time to return we had bad weather that grounded airplanes out of Anchorage but he drove 3.5 hrs one way to pick up passengers and drive us back to Anchorage. It was wholly unexpected but greatly appreciated! I would definitely fly with Reeve Air again.
