Marbella, Spain

Puerto Banus, Golf & Costa del Sol Sun

Marbella is the glamour capital of the Costa del Sol, built around Puerto Banus, marquee beach clubs and a dense concentration of golf resorts. Its season stretches longer than the Balearics, with warm Andalusian weather drawing Gulf, Northern European and British visitors from spring into autumn. Villa owners, golfers and yacht charterers keep the coast busy.

Malaga-Costa del Sol (AGP/LEMG) is the gateway field, about 30 miles east of Marbella with a modern general-aviation terminal and a runway that handles heavy and long-range jets. It shares busy airline traffic, so summer slots and parking need advance coordination, though it is less pinched than the island airports. Gibraltar and Jerez serve as alternates. Marbella and Puerto Banus are about 40-45 minutes from Malaga by car.
